At approximately 23:00 hours Sunday night Boston Police Officers from District B-3 responded to Shots Fired in the area of River Street near the Ryan Playground. Officers heard the shots, estimated to be about 8-9 rounds, from the crime scene on Elizabeth Street that sent two men to the hospital a few hours earlier.
A ShotSpotter notification for 9 rounds subsequently followed narrowing down the location. Officers located a number a shell casings in the park which was State Police jurisdiction. Troopers were notified and the scene was turned over. The MSP crime scene, ballistics and detectives were all called to the scene. The spent shell casings were collected and processed. At this time no further updates are available.
