Monday night, shortly before 21:00 hours, Boston Police responded to the area of 1510 Tremont Street near the Mission Hill Playground, for unconfirmed reports that a person had been shot. Calls said that a potential suspect had last been seen running toward Parker Avenue. Police arrived to the area and confirmed that a victim was being rushed to a local area hospital in a red sedan with 3 occupants. They were unable to confirm if a man or woman had been shot, but sent units to the hospital as well.

Back in the area of the shooting, Officers began searching for a crime scene which was eventually located on Tremont Street. They shut down the areas of Tremont Street at Parker Avenue as well as Delle Avenue and Burney Street. They were advised that the suspect was a male dressed in all black that was last seen fleeing toward Smith Street on foot, and areas of Columbus Ave were then also shut down.

Police canvassed the scene and full notes were made given the nature of the shooting and the severity of the injuries sustained to the victim. Detectives were brought in to process evidence. It was later updated that the victim, a male, had succumbed to his injuries and he was pronounced deceased at the hospital. There has been no update on the search for the suspect at this time.
