At about 1:53 AM, on Saturday, January 15, 2022, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force along with Massachusetts State Police, made a firearm arrest of Bereky Edouard, 22, of Medford and arrested Raymond Gregory, Jr, 27, of Everett for Failure to Stop for a Police Officer, after a traffic stop in the area of Warren Street and Waverly Street in Roxbury.

While on patrol in the area, officers observed a motor vehicle with heavily tinted windows traveling on Waverly Street. After a CJIS inquiry, it was revealed that the motor vehicle had no inspection sticker. Officers activated their lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop and as a result of the traffic stop, a loaded firearm was recovered.

The firearm was determined to be a Ruger “Security 9” 9mm handgun with one round in the chamber and fourteen rounds in the magazine. Also recovered from the motor vehicle was a baggie of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.

Bereky Edouard, 22, of Medford was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D Drugs. Raymond Gregory, Jr., 27, of Everett was arrested and charged with Failure to Stop for a Police Officer. They are both expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
