On Monday March 28, 2022 at approximately 21:15 hours, Boston Police officers from District C6 responded alongside Boston EMS to the 600 block of Dorchester Avenue for reports of a person shot.

The victim was located by his parents, who became worried after not hearing from him and went to his residence to check on him. On arrival, it quickly became apparent to first responders that the young man, who appeared to be in his late 20’s, was non-viable. The man’s body appeared to have been in the apartment undisturbed for several days.

According to sources, the preliminary investigation suggests that the man succumbed to a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head originating from a small caliber long gun, though no official information has been released at this time.

This incident remains under active investigation.
