On Monday, July 11, 2022 at approximately 22:45 hours, Boston Police Officers from District B-2 as well as K-9 and tactical assets responded to a ShotSpotter activation for 8 rounds in the area of 2360 Washington Street in Nubian Square.

According to witnesses the shooter had originally gone into a liquor store, but fled the scene before Officers arrived. Officers canvased the area and located numerous spent shell casings and District Detectives were called to the scene. While processing the ballistic evidence, Officers were alerted that a person had self presented to Boston Medical Center with an apparent gun shot wound.

According to sources on scene, it is believed that the subject who was shot, may have in fact been the shooter himself, however it has not been confirmed and Boston Police have not provided any further information.

At this time no arrests have been made and no further information is available. Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and are urging anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact (617) 343-4275.
