At approximately 12:30 pm on Saturday a fire broke out on a home on Savin Hill Ave. in Dorchester.

The Boston Fire department arrived to the scene to see the fire was mostly on the second floor porch and they got right to work putting out the fire.
Police arrived to the scene and cleared the area while fire fighters fought the blaze. They were able to contain the fire and put it out completely in a short time.

No one was injured in the process and only one resident was displaced because of the fire. The cause of this fire remains under investigation by Boston Fire FIU.
