On August 25 2022, at approximately 01:40 hours, Troopers from the Massachusetts State Police as well as Boston Police Officers from District B-2 did make two firearm arrests in the area of Blue Hill Ave and Seaver Street in Roxbury that resulted in charges against Nikolas Laronde, 23, of Roxbury and Jabbar White, 21, of Boston.
Troopers initiated a traffic stop of a 2017 Toyota Rav4 which was occupied by three occupants. Troopers and Officers during the traffic stop removed the occupants of the vehicle during the course of their investigation.
During the stop they were able to safely recover two illegal firearms and placed two of the three occupants under arrest. The operator, who has been identified by the State Police as Nikolas Laronde, 23, of Roxbury was charged with Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Possession of Ammo without FID, and Speeding.
The passenger who has been identified by the State Police as Jabbar White, 21, of Boston was charged with Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammo without FID Card, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, and Failure to Wear Seatbelt.
