Malden, MA – Just before 3 a.m. on Sunday, Malden Police Department responded to a 911 call for a person shot at Quarrystone at Overlook Ridge. The initial reports indicate a woman was shot inside the building located at 10 Overlook Ridge, with her injuries being considered life-threatening.

The victim, who remains unidentified, was transported by emergency medical services and rushed to a nearby hospital. Her condition is said to be critical. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the victim was not the intended target of the shooting. A second victim presented themselves to a hospital in Boston and it is unknown at this time if it is related to this incident.

The crime scene was quickly secured by the Malden Police Department who reached out for assistance, roping in State Police and Everett Police to aid in the initial investigation.
