MATTAPAN – Boston Police responded to the area after receiving reports of a person shot at 1194 Blue Hill Ave at approximately 12:27 a.m. The victim, a yet-to-be-identified man, was found by officers suffering from gunshot wounds near Blue Hill Ave and Landor Rd. Despite their quick response, the victim was declared dead at the scene by Boston EMS, marking a second homicide in 12 hours and a grim start to the weekend for the local community.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Authorities are actively seeking information and cooperating with the community to gather any leads that may aid in solving this murder. In a press statement, Boston Police Department Chief Long urged anyone with knowledge of the shooting or the events surrounding it to come forward.
