EAST BRIDGEWATER, MA – East Bridgewater Police are searching for the driver who struck an 11 Year Old girl on Sunday around 5:30pm. The girl, who was uninjured, was riding her bike through a path that connects Rt 18 and the back parking lot of the Central Elementary School. After striking the girl, the driver left the scene.

The incident occurred at 143 Bedford St in East Bridgewater, MA at 5:32pm on Sunday October 15, 2023. The driver of a Blue 2023-2024 Lexus NX was seen on school security camera footage driving through the parking lot, likely looking to cut through to another road, before coming to a gate. The driver turns around and begins to exit the parking lot when the child, riding her bike, enters the parking lot in front of the Blue Lexus.

After striking the girl on her bike, the vehicle continues driving for around 60 more feet before coming to a stop with the child and her bike still under the front bumper of the car. That’s when police say the driver, who was seen wearing blue hospital-style scrubs, got out of her vehicle and spoke to the child prior to leaving the scene. The child’s mother responded to the scene and ultimately declined EMS transport for the child.

East Bridgewater Police are asking anyone with information on the identity of the driver to call 508- 378-7223.
