BOSTON, MA — At approximately 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023, the Boston Police received 911 calls reporting a person being stabbed at 18 Rugby Road in Mattapan. Responding quickly to the calls, officers arrived at the scene to discover a victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds.
The victim, identified as a man in his 70s, was immediately rushed to a local hospital by Boston EMS with life-threatening injuries. The man was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. Local residents have described the victim as a long-time member of the neighborhood. Evidence at the scene suggests that a black Honda CRV was somehow involved in the incident, and it was subsequently towed from the area by law enforcement.
No arrests have been made at this time. The Boston Police Department is actively investigating this case and no further information has been made available at this time.
