SAUGUS, MA - Update: Initial reports indicated multiple patients; it was later determined that a car struck a parked car in front of the vacant Boston Market. A single patient was extricated from the car and transported with serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.

WALTHAM, MA - Video shows Bomb Squad removing several cannonballs and other ordnance from a trench that national grid was working in, under a parking lot behind a shopping center. No injuries were reported and the ordnance was collected and disposed of by State Police.

SAUGUS, MA - Multiple agencies are on scene for a major accident, with 2 vehicles that have rolled over and crashing into a vacant Boston Market. Both vehicles are overturned inside the building with at least 2 victims trapped. Patients are being extricated and transported by EMS

WALTHAM, MA - Members of MSP’s Bomb Squad, the ATF, Waltham Police, Fire and EMS have transported the ordinance away from the scene in a bomb disposal unit for disposal off site. The scene has been cleared and the area is reopened to the public.

One Person Transported After a Hazmat Incident in Downtown Boston

BOSTON, MA – On October 19th, 2023 at approximately 07:00 pm local time, Boston Fire Department received a call of a chlorine leak on 240 Devonshire Street. Multiple fire companies along with specialized fire units, Boston EMS, Boston Police, and Massachusetts State Police responded to the incident.

Firefighters made initial entry in order to extract the person who was reportedly exposed to the hazardous material. After a thorough investigation of the area with a meter, there was no hazardous material found in the area.

The area was deemed safe by the Boston Fire Department. The condition or the identity of the victim transported has not been released to the public yet.
