BOSTON, MA – Just before 8:00am on Monday, October 23, 2023, Boston Police, Fire, and EMS was dispatched to 100 Summer St for numerous 911 calls of a window washer that fell “from about 50 floors”. Upon arrival, units located an individual that had fallen and was deceased.
Several streets surrounding the area were shut down as a precaution, pending an investigation. Boston Police requested district A-1 detectives to the scene to conduct the death investigation.
Initial reports indicate the individual, who was working as a window washer at a nearby building, fell from the 29th floor of 100 Summer Street. Full notifications were made, requesting Homicide and Crime Scene Response to the scene.
Boston Fire Department requested OSHA to the scene due to the nature of the accident. The Medical Examiners office has also been requested to the scene to take custody of the deceased.
No further information is available at this time. The identity of the victim has not been released pending notifications to the family.
